How many more loving saints of God will be hurt before we wake up and
discern the fruit behind some of these books and buzz words? Let's get real
with this Jezebel stuff as yet another pastor's wife is severely ripped to
pieces as the parishioner whispers in the pastor's ear, "I have been
reading this book about Jezebel and your wife is she."
Well, he did it again, didn't he? The funny part is, we paid for it, didn't
we?
Jesus said you would know of what spirit a man, woman, book, teaching, song,
theology, etc. is by the fruit that is produced. Why can't we see it until the
damage is already done?
This latest quest for Jezebel in the church will cause severe relationship
damage throughout the church. That is exactly the devil's plan, make no
mistake! For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is
saying.
Can you say witch-hunt?
Once again the devil focuses us on ourselves instead of the people in our
territory or the principality over the territory. Can you see the witch-hunts
created by a religious spirit over these trivial pursuits sent to keep the
church effectively devouring itself? They are already "prisoners of
war" in their own private separatist society, not conquering the real
world or the spirit behind Jezebel working above and over their territory.
Can you see the smoke screen sent by the principalities so we would not
challenge their rule in our territory?
For the record:
The spirit behind Jezebel attacked a real Prophet who had supernatural
authority because of the depth of his walk with the Lord. When the prophet
prayed, the heavens closed for three years. When he prayed, the heavens opened.
When he called fire down, God answered with signs and wonders! This prophet of
God was a lone prophet who opposed the religious image of his day.
Jezebel never attacked a leader who couldn't demonstrate the supernatural
power of God. She never attacked a minister with a congregation. In fact, the
ministers who had congregations were influenced by the same ruling spirit or
system that worked through the woman, Jezebel.
On the contrary, the prophet Jezebel attacked was not very social. He did
not show up at all the church picnics, did not sing in the church choir or hold
a position on the church counsel. In fact, he lived in a cave far away from
people, their gossip and church agendas and politics. He coveted his time alone
with God. He did not live in fancy houses nor did he wear fancy clothes nor
drive fancy cars, love the attention of men or demand their respect. The
prophet Jezebel attacked only cared about the things of God.
He put his entire life on the line to stand up for the right Spirit regardless
of the hits he took from the church of his day.
Jezebel, on the other hand, never attacked the religious system of her day,
or the ones in authority throughout that system. Remember that the religious
system and the ones in authority were influenced and controlled, without their
even discerning it, by the same ruling spirit as Jezebel. In fact, Jezebel was
the one who defended the religious leaders of her time! It was a single lone
prophet of God who exposed the spirit behind the religious system and its'
leaders. This is exactly what Jesus did as well, and it cost Him
His life!
Again, the prophet whom Jezebel attacked was not over a congregation. So,
according to the Bible, the Jezebel spirit, or the spirit behind Jezebel, or
the ruling principality over that territory, never attacked a ministry leader.
Elijah was a lone prophet in a cave who didn't have much to do with the
business of ministry or the money machine of selling the latest fear-motivated
blowup book!
The prophet of God, whom Jezebel attacked, "mocked" these
religious leaders who promoted each others' teachings and books perpetuating
the acceptable IMAGE of religion and confronted them with a supernatural
show-down!
Jezebel, on the other hand, never "mocked" a religious leader,
ever! Only the true prophet of God, who actually knew God, "mocked"
those of the religious system!
So, in light of the actual stories of the Bible that we believe we
understand and follow, let me ask a simple question:
"Could these spiritual leaders of Jezebel's day discern that they were
under a religious spirit or system or image not hearing from the real
God?"
Answer = No.
They were good men doing church the best they could and copying each other's
style and doctrine by promoting the acceptable "image" of the church
perpetrated by man or the carnal nature.
"My children shall be taught of my spirit" says the Lord.
How many spiritual leaders are confident enough with the depth of their
actual relationship with God to go to Him and get a clear answer when a problem
arises in their church instead of jumping on the next church, TV, and book-of-the-week
club bandwagon? Wouldn't it be nice if leaders and authors were the end-all,
answer-all?
We need to remember, without the anointing of the Holy Spirit falling upon
them, they are just men with their own perception and opinion. God will not
have idol worship.
Most think that the leader is walking closer with God than anyone els
